Greetings,

To my B & P sisters and brothers, it is with great joy that I welcome you to the 45th Annual Mid-Atlantic District Conference.  Plans are being finalized for conference activities by Vice Governor, Joan McIver, Presidents Norita Mbonisi, Business & Professional Women’s League, Inc.  Brenda Mason, Century Club and Patricia Randall, Millennium Seat Pleasant Club of the National Capital Area along with the other sisters. Presidents Mbonisi, Mason and Randall have been coordinating with several of the District Directors, Chairs and Leaders to ensure program events are planned in accordance with conference guidelines.

During this year’s conference the Mid-Atlantic District will sponsor its second Red and Gold Hat Women’s History Awards Luncheon.  The Awards Committee headed up by Chairperson Stacy Gurdon along with representatives from the three local clubs has planned a grand program.  Four phenomenal women will be recognized for their extraordinary contributions for the betterment of the community.

The Youth Department is completing arrangements for activities for the youth.  I invite each Third Vice President to coordinate with Rev. Annlouise Goodner-Brown, Youth Director and her committee members to ensure all youth are included.

I want to take this opportunity to extend my appreciation to Patricia D. George, Conference Coordinator, Toni Robinson, our Local Coordinator and the representatives from each club who are members of the planning committee for the tremendous job they have done to make this conference successful.

Please pay close attention to the deadline dates in the attached documents and comply accordingly.  The cutoff date for hotel reservations is Tuesday, March 2, 2010 and there will be no extensions authorized.  You take the risk of paying a higher rate if reservations are made beyond the cutoff date.

I look forward to meeting you in the wonderful city of Bethesda.  Have a safe trip!

In Sisterhood Forever,

Sherelle T. Carper
